Mais uma noite de gira-discagem. Desta vez, na companhia dos amigos João Gonçalves e Gonçalo Castro. Muito divertido, principalmente a partir da hora em que começamos a picardia entre discos, cruzando tudo e mais alguma coisa. Há que repetir.

Reedição do Hollinndagain

Disco dos Animal Collective de 2002 ou 2001, não tenho a certeza. Originalmente, foram lançadas apenas 300 cópias e apenas em vinil. Pelo que se tornou um disco muito difícil de arranjar. No entanto, é reeditado agora a 31 de Outubro.
Eu não o conhecia, nem nunca tinha ouvido falar do disco. Falha minha, pois tenho uma adoração incondicional pelos Animal Collective, visto que foram eles que me permitiram abrir os ouvidos para muita da música que gosto de ouvir hoje em dia. Portanto, tinha obrigação de saber pelo menos da existência deste disco.
É ao que parece um disco gravado ao vivo e que nunca teve muita aceitação, segundo algumas críticas. Mas as duas faixas que já ouvi, gostei. Também é verdade, que ao que parece, essas faixas não são representativas do resto do disco. A faixa "Pride and fight" diria estar a meio caminho entre os discos "here comes the indian" e o "sung tongs". É uma grande faixa com uma batida tribal com um belo jogo de vozes por cima e que dura uns bons 10 minutos. Fantástica. A outra faixa que ouvi "forest gospel", começa mais noisy, com muita electrónica e depois acalma mantendo a percussão e as vozes, mas com explosões aqui e ali. Outra boa canção.
Conclusão, só por estas duas, já vale a pena ter o disco.
